Understanding You and Your Anxiety

A get to know you session, for you and for me.

Understand what are your specific anxiety symptoms and triggers.

The concept of Anxiety - it's physiological, emotional and cognitive parts.
Session 3
Coping Strategies and Relaxation Techniques

Have a look at coping strategies to manage your anxiety symptoms.

teach some relaxation techniques to reduce the physiological aspects of your anxiety.
Session 5
Mindfulness and Acceptance.

introduce mindfulness practices to help you manage anxiety

Working on the acceptance of anxious feelings without attaching judgement to them.
Session 2
Identifying Cognitive Distortions

introduce you to the different thought patterns and what we can do about them.

Help you recognise any negative thought patterns related to your anxiety.
Session 4
Exposure to Triggers

Gentle and gradual exposure to your anxiety triggers in a controlled manner.

Help you build your confidence in facing your fears

Review and Future Planning

Reviewing the progress made throughout the sessions

Develop a plan for you to maintain the gains that you have made and to continue to manage your anxiety.
