It’s about having a real conversation with someone who listens, understands, and helps you explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships, experiences and the patterns that might be holding you back.

Everyone comes to therapy for different reasons, so there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach.

 

I use an integrative style of therapy, which simply means we bring together different approaches depending on you — your personality, your experiences, what feels helpful, and what you need right now.

 

Together we might explore:

 

  • understanding your thoughts and emotions

  • calming your nervous system when life feels overwhelming

  • making sense of past experiences

  • building confidence and self-trust

  • changing patterns that no longer work for you

  • finding healthier ways to cope

  • reconnecting with yourself and what matters to you

 

Sometimes we talk things through.

Sometimes we learn practical tools.

Sometimes we slow things down and understand what’s happening underneath.

 

We work together — at your pace.

If you’ve never been before, therapy can feel like a mystery.

 

You might wonder

  • “What am I supposed to say?”

  • “What if my problems aren’t serious enough?”

  • “What if I get emotional?”

  • “What if I don’t even know where to start?”

 

All of that is completely normal.

Here’s a little of what it actually looks like:

 

1. It’s a conversation ... not an interrogation

You talk about whatever’s going on in your life ... big things, small things, confusing things, painful things, or even “I don’t know what I’m feeling but something’s off.

There’s no script - No pressure to know what to say - No wrong answers.

You show up as you are, and we explore from there.

 

2. You don’t have to be 'falling apart' to go to therapy

Therapy isn’t just for crises. It’s for understanding yourself, navigating transitions, building healthier patterns, and figuring out who you’re becoming. It’s support, not a diagnosis of what’s 'wrong.'

 

3. We go at your pace

You never have to talk about something before you’re ready.

If something feels too big or too vulnerable, we slow down.

If you want to dive deeper, we explore - you’re in control of how the process unfolds.

 

4. It’s private and judgment-free

Nothing you share is too weird, too messy, or too uncomfortable.

My job isn’t to judge; it’s to understand and support.

Everything you say stays between us.

 

5. We look at patterns ... not just problems

In therapy, we explore things like:

  • why certain situations trigger you

  • what you’ve learned from your family or past

  • how you talk to yourself

  • what your relationships feel like

  • where you feel stuck

  • what you want your life to look like

It’s less about 'fixing' and more about understanding your inner world.

 

6. Sometimes we talk. Sometimes we feel. Sometimes we learn tools.

A session might involve:

  • talking through something that happened

  • noticing what’s going on in your body

  • sorting through emotions

  • exploring beliefs or patterns

  • learning grounding or coping skills

  • connecting with your intuition

  • imagining new ways of being

It’s flexible and collaborative.

 

7. You don’t have to be 'good' at therapy

There’s no perfect way to do this. You don’t need deep insights.

You don’t need to know your whole life story.

You can show up tired, stressed, confused, or completely unsure.  

Therapy meets you wherever you are.

 

8. Over time, you’ll start to feel the shifts

Not huge overnight changes, but subtle ones:

  • feeling clearer

  • reacting differently

  • understanding yourself better

  • feeling less alone

  • making choices that fit who you truly are

  • trusting yourself more

These shifts build on each other.

 

9. Therapy is a relationship

One of the most healing parts is simply having someone who:

  • listens deeply

  • takes you seriously

  • remembers your story

  • shows up consistently

  • cares that you exist

  • supports your growth
