✨ For Couples: We’ll look at those recurring "bumps" and frustrations ... not to point fingers, but to understand the rhythm of your relationship and find your way back to each other.
- Relationships can be beautiful, but let’s be honest ... they can also be incredibly messy!
✨ For Individuals: Sometimes you just need a safe space to untangle your own thoughts. We’ll dive into what’s going on for you personally, helping you find your feet again.
- There’s no judgment here. We’ll gently unpick the patterns that have you feeling stuck and work toward a future that feels clearer, calmer, and ... most importantly ... more like you.
Whether you’re feeling a bit disconnected from your partner ~ or just feeling "off" within yourself, I’m here to help you navigate those heavy moments.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, confusing or difficult to navigate alone. Therapy offers a calm and supportive space where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life and begin to make sense of your experiences.

Helping You Be Your Best Self
"I didn't realise how much my past was affecting me until we started talking about it. Now I understand myself a lot better and I know that I can do things differently."
✨ This is me, Delyth Cole

Hello, I’m Del, a BACP-registered therapist based on the Wirral, with my Therapy Room in Wellness on Argyle Street, Birkenhead.
I run a small, independent therapy practice, which allows me to offer a more personal and consistent experience for my clients ...because of this I keep my caseload intentionally limited to ensure that I can give each person the time, attention and care they deserve.
I offer a warm and supportive space where you can explore whatever is going on in your life without judgement. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, focusing on understanding your experiences and supporting your wellbeing.
Alongside my private practice, I volunteer as a counsellor with the Jade L Roberts Project, Liverpool, supporting people experiencing suicidal crisis and mental health difficulties.
A Safe Pair of Hands.

A grounded, integrative approach to healing ...
supporting your mind, body and emotional wellbeing.

So Welcome to Best Self Therapy
If you’re here, something may be feeling out of sync ... within yourself or your relationship.
Please know that it’s okay to not have it all figured out.
This is simply a place to pause, breathe, and begin at your own pace.
Seeking therapy is a significant step, and whether you are navigating a period of change or simply looking for space to reflect, you’ll be met with care, steadiness, and respect.
You don’t need the "right" words to start; wanting life to feel a little easier is reason enough.
Ways We Can Work Together:
I offer a variety of ways to engage with therapy, ensuring we find the path that feels most comfortable for your lifestyle and needs.
When a relationship feels strained, it can impact every part of your life. I help couples who feel stuck in cycles of conflict or emotional disconnection to create the clarity and safety needed to move forward. Using evidence-based approaches like the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy, I don't "pick sides" ...the relationship is my client. It is a space where both partners are heard, differences are respected, and you can rebuild your connection one conversation at a time.
Individual therapy is a quiet, dedicated space just for you. Life can often feel overwhelming, and it’s easy to lose sight of your own needs amidst the noise of daily expectations. Here, we can gently explore your thoughts, emotions, and life experiences to help you gain a sense of clarity and ease. Whether you are navigating anxiety, burnout, or simply want to understand your own patterns more deeply, we work collaboratively to uncover what truly supports your wellbeing.
1-2-1 therapy : For many, sitting face-to-face in a room can feel a little intense. Walk and Talk therapy takes our sessions outdoors into the calm, natural spaces across the Wirral. There is something uniquely liberating about walking side-by-side; the movement of the body often helps the mind relax, making difficult conversations feel a little easier to navigate while connecting with the soothing environment around you.
Individual & Couples : I understand that life is busy, and sometimes the most supportive thing is being able to access therapy from the safety of your own home. My online sessions are held via secure video, offering you the same warmth and professional care as an in-person meeting. This flexibility allows you to create your own "therapy nest" in a familiar environment, removing the stress of travel and fitting seamlessly into your day.
🌿 It's an Inclusive, Neuro-Affirming Space
People experience and understand the world in many different ways.
My practice is built on a foundation of respect for these differences ... especially where neurodivergence, such as Autism or ADHD, is in the mix.
Therapy here is not about trying to "fix" or change who you are. Instead, it’s about creating an adapted, flexible space that respects how you think, process, and communicate. You are invited to show up exactly as you are, and we will work together to find the tools and reflections that make life feel more manageable for your unique mind.
What to Expect:
Starting therapy can feel uncertain, especially if it’s your first time.
We keep things simple:
1. 📆 The Connection: We begin with a consultation to see if we are a good fit.
2. 🗺️ The Exploration: We look at what has brought you here without any pressure to share more than you're ready for.
3. 📝 The Journey: We work together at a pace that feels comfortable, unhurried, and non-judgmental.
When you’re ready, you can begin quietly, just as you are.
✨ So how about we have a chat and see how I can help you...
