Therapy for Individuals

... making therapy feel a little less 'clinical' and a lot more human.
Couples therapy Wirral

🌿 Best Self Therapy

A calm, supportive space to explore what you’re experiencing, understand your patterns, and move forward with more curiosity and compassion.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.

That’s actually what the therapy space is there for.

Unpacking the chaos of being human, together.

Remember:

You are not here to be judged.

You are here to be understood.

🌿 What Therapy With Me Looks Like

Therapy - for every brain and every story.

I help people to understand themselves without shame, judgement or confusing psychological language.

It's not about someone telling you what to do ... or finding a tick-list of everything that's “wrong” with you or your relationship.

It's a conversation.

A space where we can explore:

  • what you’re experiencing

  • what you’ve been carrying

  • what patterns keep showing up

  • what matters to you

  • what might help

... together.

We look into your thoughts, feelings and experiences with compassion, honesty and — when the moment calls for it — a little humour.

Because being human is complicated, contradictory and wonderfully messy enough already.

- It's definitely not about sitting opposite someone who silently nods, making secretive notes  ... while you try to work out what they’re thinking. And it's not about being told what you “should” do.

(**One day I will start a campaign to remove the words "should' and "perfect" from the dictionary.)

Therapy is a place to make sense of the chaos of life and the perfectly imperfect parts of being human.

✨ This is me, Delyth Cole

Delyth Cole Therapist Wirral

Hi, I’m Del

I’m the therapist behind Best Self Therapy™.

I’m a qualified integrative therapist and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I believe therapy works best when it feels human — a space where you can talk openly, feel understood and begin making sense of what’s happening without judgement or confusing psychobabble.

My approach is warm, down-to-earth and centred around curiosity, compassion and understanding.

Because often the most helpful place to start isn’t:

“What’s wrong with me?”

It’s: “What might be happening here?”

🌿 My Therapy Approach

No judgement.

No complicated psycho-jargon.

No pretending any of us have life completely figured out.

My approach is warm, practical and down-to-earth, helping you to understand yourself rather than criticise yourself.

To learn to be curious and to be self-aware.

It’s asking the questions:

“What makes sense about how I (we) got here?"

and

"What might help me (us) move forward?”

🌱 A Different Kind Of Therapy Space

You don't have to wait until everything falls apart before reaching out.

Let's get in there early.

Prevention is better than a cure -  so they say.

Therapy can be about:

  • understanding,

  • reflecting,

  • growing,

  • making changes,

  • or simply having somewhere you don’t have to hold everything together.

Because being human is complicated.

Understanding yourself can help.

🌱 What to Expect at Best Self Therapy

Starting therapy can feel uncertain ... especially if it’s your first time.

We keep things simple here:

1.  📆 The Connection:

We begin with a consultation to see if we are a good fit.

2. 🗺️ The Exploration:

We look at what has brought you here without any pressure to share more than you're ready for.

3.  📝 The Journey:

We work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you, unhurried, and non-judgmental.

So when you’re ready, you can begin - quietly, just as you are.

✨ So how about we have a chat and see how I can help you...

🌿 Ready for a Consultation?

A consultation with me can provide an opportunity to talk about what you are looking for and ask any questions you may have.

You know ... sometimes you need to try new things, make different choices or maybe change your approach to a problem.

Have I got you curious about therapy?

Why not begin with a free 20 minute consultation.

A brief conversation to help you sense whether this feels like the right fit - no pressure, no obligation - just connection.

If it feels right,  please get in touch ...

  • either through my calendar app below

( Opens up into Calendly.com window. )

🌿 Your free Online Digital Resource

"Why Therapy? Without the Psychobabble"

Struggling, but still undecided whether therapy is the right path for you?

Why not delve a bit deeper into "what goes on in the therapy session", with this free resource, and maybe take some of the mystery out of it.

A calm, relatable guide to understanding what therapy actually is — without the awkward stereotypes, clinical jargon, or pressure.

It’s designed to help you understand emotional wellbeing, support, and the therapy process in real human language, while showing that you do not need to hit crisis point before your struggles matter.

Might make you feel more confident about getting in touch ...

Remember, my therapy space is where different ways of thinking, feeling and experiencing the world are both welcomed and respected.

📚 Best Self Therapy™ Resource Library

♥︎ Understanding yourself is a process.

Alongside my therapy practice, I have created the Best Self Therapy™ Resource Library — gentle reflective resources to support learning and self-awareness beyond sessions.

Because sometimes the biggest “oh… that makes sense” moments happen afterwards.

Understanding doesn’t stop when the session ends.

The resource library includes reflective courses exploring:

  • understanding yourself

  • emotional wellbeing

  • relationships

  • different brains

  • life changes

  • your personal story

Designed to support reflection, not replace therapy.

Therapy is not about becoming a 'perfect' version of yourself.

(Thankfully. As that really sounds exhausting.)

It's about understanding the very human version of yourself that already exists.

♡ With more curiosity.

♡ More compassion.

... And maybe a few more tools for the messy bits of being human.

♡ Just a little reminder before you go ...

You are not behind.

You are not broken.

You are not failing.

You are doing your best, even when it doesn't feel like enough.

You are allowed to have messy days.

You are allowed to rest.

You are allowed to be a work in progress.

Please speak to yourself with kindness today.

You are worthy of love, grace, and patience ... including from yourself.

One breath at a time.

One step at a time.

You are enough.

Always.
