About
Every relationship starts somewhere. The beginning of a relationship can be exciting, hopeful and full of possibility. It can also bring uncertainty, vulnerability and questions about how two different people begin building a life together. This companion guide has been created to support the conversations we have during our therapy sessions, giving you space to continue reflecting, learning and connecting between appointments. Throughout this guide we'll explore the foundations of healthy relationships using ideas from the Gottman Method, Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), translated into everyday language that actually makes sense. Together we'll explore: • understanding yourselves and each other • emotional safety and secure connection • communication and curiosity • navigating disagreements with kindness • trust, vulnerability and healthy boundaries • building shared values, rituals and future dreams Each module includes psychoeducation, reflective questions, practical exercises and conversations designed to strengthen your relationship one step at a time. The aim isn't to become the "perfect couple." It's to create a relationship where both of you feel safe enough to be yourselves, curious enough to keep learning about each other, and connected enough to grow together through whatever life brings. Think of this guide as another part of the therapeutic journey. Not something to complete as quickly as possible... but something to return to, reflect on and use as your relationship continues to grow. Because healthy relationships aren't built in a single conversation. They're built through hundreds of small moments of connection, understanding and choosing each other—again and again.
