So what happens in Hypnotherapy?
No swinging watches, I promise! It's not stage hypnosis.
Hypnotherapy is an altered state of consciousness, the busy conscious mind is bypassed and the subconscious mind is reached. A bit like meditation but in hypnosis the mind is more receptive to suggestion, its a little like planting self care seeds in your subconscious that keep growing over time.
Hypnotherapy can help to change negative programming, to promote relaxation, to reframe thoughts and to reduce self sabotaging behaviours.
You are in a state of deep relaxation and focused concentration, I guide you there with verbal cues, repetition and imagery.
It's important to know that you are in control the whole time ... you don't lose control over your behaviour.
Hypnotherapy really can't make someone do anything they don't want to do.
Hypnosis can help you achieve your wellness goals whether it's stopping smoking, weight loss, more confidence, easing those exam or meeting nerves, phobias and a myriad of other concerns ... or just for relaxation purposes.
